do geese see god?old work reflecting (09/15/25) do geese see god is probably my best album from when I did monthly releases. Released on June 25, 2023 it was a 12 track album with some of my favorite older tracks. I wanted to go over every track and talk about production details and funny stories behind them. But I'll quickly mention some of the details behind the name and cover art. I'll start with it's name. Not much thought went into it, I just wanted to name the album a palindrome. So I just searched and found a list of palindromes and chose the funniest one. And for the cover art, I don't remember my thought process for that honestly. I remember choosing the picture of the goose on purpose because that was the one I thought of when making the art. But other than that I don't remember much. ![]() a picture of the album art. introduction to the album This is the opening song to the album, and also one of my very few songs with vocals by me. It has a very basic orchestral instrumental which is made with bandlab's midi instruments. I just say basic things about the album will be the best thing ever, it's really just a short silly song to start the album. Fun fact though, the song was originally called "introduction to the trash" because I was inspired by the song "Introduction to the Snow"'s title. But I later changed 'trash' to 'album' because I thought people would somehow think I was making fun of Hawaii Part II. boredom strikes again boredom strikes again is a recreation of a older song, one of the first I made actually, and I think it's pretty neat! The samples I used are mixed together well, unlike a lot of other songs I've made. And I think I picked the perfect choice for a second song cause I can't image a different song in it's place in the album. Crunch This song is nothing but a short little neat chip-tune song that doesn't overstay it's welcome, but also isn't really all that interesting. In fact this song is so uninteresting there's nothing to say about it! Moving on. stupid song 2 stupid song 2 is a sequel to stupid song from ictoat. It uses a different sample from the same library I got the initial sample for the first stupid song, which also indirectly gave this sequel a very different tone. While stupid song was very silly sounding and upbeat, this sequel is like the opposite of that. I don't know how to describe it but there is a difference. BITCRUSHED POPCORN Fun Fact: This song was made 2 years before jimmy was released. I remember I was trying to figure out what effects were used to make the voice ENA had, and I found out it was this effect called a "Bit Crusher". A little while later I found the artist account of a YouTuber I watch called Planet Clue. His music under the name YESCLIP interested me and I wanted to try my attempt at making music just like that. And with the combination of heavy bit crushing and a silly story, 'BITCRUSHED POPCORN' was born. Also I decided to make a de-bitcrushed version to see what it'd sound like, here it is: I know the drums are bit crushed, apparently the sample just came like that as is. window Originally called GgJ97 when tha album released, this song is a very enjoyable one, I remember really liking this one when I made it as well. But other than the name change there's not much interesting about this track. Next! :/ Now I have heavy feelings about the song that this one is a sequel to ":)". But I won't get into that now, all I will say is that since this one has more creative mixing in it's sample use so I like it better. scratch Same situation with a good chunk of these, not much too say besides "it good". BLAHAJ I hate this song so much, well not that much, but still i HATE IT!! I added it last minute, and you can tell it's last minute by it's short length and terrible production. I really wish I left this off the album but oh well, at least it's better than some other songs I guess. Drain Again Fun story about this song. Me and my friend Zenit2 tried making a Fortnite map once, because the ability to make custom maps with Unreal Engine was a new feature at the time I think. I decided to make a song that would play in the background of this supposed map. Which also gives context to the lyric "This is the best Fortnite map ever, Best Fortnite map ever" as well. We never made that map though because Unreal wouldn't work on my computer. So I just slapped this onto dgsg. Songs like these would usually be my joke song of the album, I always like putting weird songs out of nowhere on my albums to confuse the listener and I still do it on occasion whenever and wherever I can. My Knee My friend in 6th grade got an injury that led to whenever he bent his knee the wrong way it would hurt him. He would usually say "My knee!" as a reference to some pokemon animation whenever this would happen. One time he got that onto an audio clip, and a few months later I decided to take that clip and remix into a song. He was fine with by the way, in case you're wondering. mous Lastly we're ending on a boring note, with just another song with no story or funny production details. Just plain boring! I think next time when I make another album retrospective, I think I'll skip over the non interesting songs so I don't have multiple paragraphs that can be easily interchanged. But that's all I have to say on this album, can really remember anything else interesting to say about it. Goodbye! Album Rating
